

Susan Harden has served on the Jamboree board since 2011 and holds positions on the Business Development, Finance and Resident Services Committees. She has a broad background in community development and planning.
In her current role as Senior Vice President and National Planning Practice Lead at Michael Baker International, she is responsible for building and advancing the company’s Planning practice through the consolidation and dissemination of technical information and management of Planning professionals located across the country. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Planning & Design with RBF’s Urban Design Studio, where she led a talented group of planners and urban designers with a particular focus on community-based planning processes, downtown and neighborhood revitalization, comprehensive planning, mobility plans, and urban design projects.
Susan has always been interested in both seeing the world and being of service. Before joining RBF’s Urban Design Studio, Susan volunteered with the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa and with the AmeriCorps National Service Program in Kansas City. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both Architectural Studies and Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas, and a master’s degree in Environmental Planning from Arizona State University.
